Job Summary
The Pastry Commis 3 Chef will assist the senior pastry team in preparing high-quality desserts, baked goods, and pastry items while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. The role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing pastries, cakes, desserts, and bakery products
- Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines
- Support senior chefs in daily pastry production
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section
- Properly store ingredients and finished products
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a pastry or bakery environment (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and dessert preparation
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
