Commis I – Hotel Kitchen | Dubai

Hotel Local is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commis I to support kitchen operations and uphold high culinary and hygiene standards. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional eager to grow within a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to standard recipes
  • Perform basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all food preparation areas
  • Follow hotel standards for food quality, portion control, and presentation
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
  • Minimize food waste and report spoilage or shortages promptly
  • Support kitchen operations during peak service periods

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Western kitchen environment
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours
  • Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and grow professionally
