Job Overview
The Barista at Warehouse Gym is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while delivering outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys interacting with people, and has a passion for coffee and wellness culture.
You will be the face of the café, ensuring every guest receives a welcoming, friendly, and professional experience that aligns with the Warehouse Gym brand.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies.
- Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and milk texturing.
Customer Service
- Greet members and guests warmly and take orders accurately.
- Provide recommendations based on customer preferences and dietary needs.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Workstation & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, café counter, and equipment.
- Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
- Ensure all tools, machines, and utensils are cleaned and maintained properly.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies.
- Assist in receiving and organizing inventory deliveries.
- Minimize wastage and report low stock levels to management.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with café staff, gym team members, and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support team members during busy hours and peak gym times.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude that reflects Warehouse Gym’s culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar café or hospitality role is preferred.
- Experience in a gym café, health café, or specialty coffee shop is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation.
- Basic understanding of latte art is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-energy environment.
