About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team in preparing dishes, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You will work under experienced chefs, learning new techniques and contributing to delivering excellent food experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items
• Follow recipes and presentation standards set by the kitchen
• Ensure proper food storage and stock rotation (FIFO)
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
• Support senior chefs during busy service periods
• Monitor food quality and report any issues
• Comply with food safety and HACCP standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as Commis Chef or kitchen assistant preferred
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Passion for food and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
