Key Responsibilities
Sous Chef
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Monitor stock levels and kitchen inventory
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards
- Support menu planning and development
Commis Chef
- Assist in food preparation and cooking
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Support team during busy service hours
- Ensure proper food storage and handling
Commis Chef – Pastry
- Assist in preparing desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Follow recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness in the pastry section
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Support pastry chef during production and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Basic to advanced knowledge of cooking techniques (depending on role)
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn
