About the Role
As an Indian Cuisine Chef, you will be at the heart of the kitchen, responsible for preparing a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation. From rich curries to perfectly spiced kebabs and freshly baked breads, your expertise will define the dining experience.
You will also play a role in maintaining kitchen efficiency, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring that every dish reflects the restaurant’s commitment to quality and taste.
Your Daily Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and street food specialties
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation
- Manage mise en place and maintain smooth kitchen operations during service
- Monitor food stock levels and coordinate with management for inventory control
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with regulations
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff to improve performance and consistency
- Experiment with flavors and presentation while respecting traditional recipes
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure timely service during busy periods
