Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Maintenance Associate to support the upkeep and smooth operation of our luxury retail stores, offices, and facilities. The role involves performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with luxury retail standards.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and building systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance issues
- Maintain and repair lighting systems, power outlets, switches, doors, locks, flooring, ceilings, and fixtures
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential faults, hazards, or wear and tear
Facility & Retail Support
- Ensure luxury retail environments remain safe, functional, and visually presentable
- Support store fit-outs, office relocations, equipment installations, and workspace adjustments
- Assist with shelving, displays, fixtures, and furniture installations when required
- Maintain back-of-house, storage, and technical areas to high cleanliness and safety standards
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with UAE safety regulations, company policies, and brand standards
- Follow proper health & safety procedures while using tools, equipment, and machinery
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Report recurring issues and recommend improvements or system upgrades to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or installations
- Supervise vendor work on-site to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion
- Assist in evaluating maintenance service performance and recurring issues
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, or a related technical discipline
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in MEP maintenance
- Previous experience in retail, luxury retail, malls, or commercial facilities is highly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical troubleshooting and basic wiring
- Plumbing repairs and water systems
- HVAC systems support and fault identification
- General building and facility maintenance
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, layouts, and schematics
- Safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Good communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and responsible mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to handle maintenance-related tasks
- Flexible to work on call or during emergencies if required
Additional Requirement
- Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory)
