Job Overview
As a Sales Assistant / Cashier, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while assisting customers in selecting products and handling payment transactions at the cashier counter. You will play an important role in ensuring that customers enjoy a professional, friendly, and efficient shopping experience.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with customers, managing stock displays, and handling cash transactions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly assistance throughout their shopping experience
• Help customers choose products and provide information about wines, spirits, and beverages
• Operate the cashier system and process payments accurately (cash, card, and digital payments)
• Ensure proper billing and issue receipts to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and cashier area
• Monitor product shelves and ensure items are properly displayed and stocked
• Assist in receiving deliveries and organizing stock in the storage area
• Verify customer identification when required according to UAE alcohol sales regulations
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally
• Work closely with the store supervisor and team members to achieve sales targets
• Follow company procedures, hygiene standards, and safety regulations
• Support promotional campaigns and store marketing activities
Requirements
Candidates interested in this position should meet the following criteria:
• Previous retail sales or cashier experience preferred
• Good communication skills in English
• Friendly personality with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
• Basic computer and POS (Point of Sale) knowledge
• Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Must meet UAE legal requirements for working in alcohol retail environments
Experience in retail stores, supermarkets, or hospitality outlets will be considered an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: AED 2,500 – 3,000 per month
