We are currently seeking a professional and service-oriented Order Taker to join our Food & Beverage team. The Order Taker plays a key role in ensuring guest orders are handled promptly and accurately, while maintaining Shangri-La’s high standards of service excellence. This role requires clear communication with kitchen and service teams, strong product knowledge, and a warm, professional approach to guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process guest orders accurately via phone, in-person, or digital platforms
- Communicate orders clearly and efficiently to the kitchen, bar, and service teams
- Ensure timely coordination of food and beverage orders for seamless service delivery
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and available services
- Assist guests with menu recommendations and upselling premium or additional items
- Process payments accurately and provide receipts in accordance with hotel procedures
- Deliver friendly, professional, and attentive guest service at all times
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with care and efficiency
- Maintain accuracy in order entry and follow established POS procedures
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
About You
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Strong guest service mindset with a friendly and professional attitude
- High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems
- 1–2 years of experience in a Hotel, Restaurant, Bar, or similar hospitality setting
- High School Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management (required)
