The Role – More Than Just Making Pizza
As a Pizza Chef, your role is built around consistency.
Every pizza that leaves your station represents the brand. The dough texture, the topping balance, the bake—all need to meet the same standard, every time.
You’ll be working in a structured kitchen where timing, coordination, and quality control are essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing pizza dough from scratch and managing fermentation processes
- Stretching, topping, and baking pizzas according to standard recipes
- Operating pizza ovens (wood-fired, gas, or electric depending on outlet)
- Ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your workstation
- Monitoring ingredient quality and freshness
- Coordinating with kitchen team during service hours
- Following food safety and hygiene standards
Skill Requirements
To perform well in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of different pizza styles (Neapolitan, thin crust, etc.)
- Experience handling dough preparation and fermentation
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
