Role Overview – Runner (Full-Time)
The Runner supports the service team by ensuring fast, accurate, and well-presented delivery of food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guest tables. This role is essential for maintaining service speed, smooth table flow, and operational efficiency, especially during busy service periods.
Reporting to the Head Waiter or Section Head, the Runner is a key link between the back-of-house and front-of-house teams.
This full-time hospitality role is based in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Service Support
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guest tables
- Ensure dishes are presented correctly with proper garnishes and plating
- Verify table numbers and order accuracy before delivery
- Support waiters by maintaining service speed and flow
- Handle multiple orders efficiently during peak service hours
Fast and precise delivery ensures a seamless guest dining experience.
Floor & Section Support
- Assist with clearing finished plates and used glassware
- Reset and prepare tables quickly for new guests

- Support section heads during high-volume service periods
Runners contribute directly to table turnover efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Coordination & Communication
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and waitstaff
- Relay special requests or modifications accurately
- Flag delays, missing items, or service issues to senior staff promptly
- Assist in smooth shift handovers
- Support overall teamwork within the restaurant
