Job Overview
We are looking for a customer-focused and results-driven Sales Associate / Retail Executive to deliver exceptional in-store experiences and maximize sales opportunities. The role involves engaging with customers, promoting products, achieving sales targets, and ensuring operational excellence within the store environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Present and demonstrate product features, benefits, and proper usage to customers
- Educate customers on brand quality standards, specifications, and value propositions
- Advise customers on product ranges best suited to their needs and lifestyle
- Respond confidently to customer inquiries to support informed purchasing decisions
- Promote warranties, product care, maintenance guidelines, and after-sales services
Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver outstanding customer service by meeting customer expectations consistently
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when required
- Build long-term customer relationships to enhance repeat business and brand loyalty
- Maintain awareness of new product launches, promotions, and seasonal sales campaigns
Sales Performance & Store Operations
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through up-selling and cross-selling techniques
- Ensure pricing accuracy and promotion compliance as per company policies
- Accurately compute sales prices, discounts, and maintain daily sales records
- Process cash, card, and credit transactions accurately and issue invoices and receipts
- Operate the POS system and cashier functions with high accuracy (where applicable)
Store Standards & Compliance
- Follow company after-sales procedures, including returns, repairs, and exchanges
- Adhere strictly to loss prevention, inventory control, and standard operating procedures
- Support merchandising activities, including product placement and visual displays
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, housekeeping, and personal grooming at all times
Self-Management & Development
- Set clear performance goals in collaboration with the reporting manager
- Take ownership of personal learning and professional development
- Actively identify skill gaps and participate in development initiatives
- Stay updated on retail trends, customer service techniques, and product knowledge
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications
- High School Certificate or Diploma
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or a similar role
Skills & Competencies
- Strong product and brand knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-centric mindset with a sales-driven approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
