Job Overview
Joud Coffee is expanding across the UAE and is seeking experienced Sous Chefs to support our high-volume kitchens in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on breakfast and brunch service, delivering consistent quality across classic and modern dishes in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the breakfast and brunch section, ensuring high standards in taste, presentation, and service timing
- Supervise cooks and commis chefs by assigning sections, monitoring preparation, and supporting peak service
- Manage daily mise en place, prep lists, batch production, labeling, and proper food storage
- Collaborate with the Head / Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe improvements
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene standards, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules
- Control food costs through portion control, waste monitoring, correct storage, and efficient ordering
- Train, coach, and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting discipline, professionalism, and teamwork
- Coordinate closely with Front of House teams to maintain smooth service and fast ticket times during morning rush
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen at all times
Candidate Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 2 years as a Sous Chef or strong CDP
- Proven experience in breakfast / brunch concepts or hotel breakfast operations
- Strong skills in egg cookery, sauces, pancakes, waffles, French toast, sandwiches, and healthy bowls
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills in high-volume environments
- Passion for quality ingredients, consistency, and visually appealing presentation
- Good communication skills in English and ability to lead multicultural teams
- Flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
- Based in or willing to relocate within the UAE
