About the Role
As a Sri Lankan Chef at Thabropane Restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Sri Lankan dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene. You will play a key role in delivering a memorable dining experience to customers by bringing the true flavors of Sri Lanka to the table.
This role is ideal for chefs who are creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about traditional cooking techniques.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Sri Lankan dishes (rice & curry, kottu, hoppers, seafood, etc.)
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Follow food safety regulations and company guidelines
- Assist in menu planning and introducing new dishes
- Manage food preparation efficiently during busy hours
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sri Lankan Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and passion for cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
