As a Waiter / Waitress, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding dining experiences to guests. You will be responsible for welcoming customers, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals efficiently, and ensuring guests are satisfied throughout their dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Waiter / Waitress will greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables while presenting the restaurant menu and explaining daily specials. You will take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen team.
Serving food and drinks professionally and ensuring that orders are delivered promptly will be an important part of your role. You will also monitor guest tables during service to ensure their needs are met and respond quickly to requests or concerns.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area is also essential. This includes setting up tables, clearing used plates, refilling water glasses, and preparing the restaurant for service during opening and closing hours.
You will work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service operations. In addition, you may assist with processing payments, providing bills to customers, and thanking guests for visiting the restaurant.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should have excellent communication and customer service skills. A friendly personality and a professional appearance are essential for working in a hospitality environment.
Candidates should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment and maintain a positive attitude during busy service hours. The ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tables simultaneously is highly valued.
Previous experience as a Waiter, Waitress, or Food & Beverage Service Staff in restaurants, hotels, or cafes will be considered an advantage, but motivated entry-level candidates may also be considered.
