Warehouse Receiving Clerk – Restaurant Operations
As a Warehouse Receiving Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient flow of back-of-house restaurant operations. This position ensures that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, recorded, and stored, maintaining full control of inventory while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced hospitality environments and understand the importance of precision and organization in luxury restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory Control
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for quality, quantity, and condition
- Record all goods accurately in the inventory or stock management system
- Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items promptly
Storage & Stock Management
- Organize, label, and store products according to food safety, hygiene, and storage standards
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
- Maintain clean, tidy, and compliant storage and warehouse areas
Stock Counts & Documentation
- Support weekly and monthly stock counts and audits
- Manage delivery notes, invoices, and receiving documentation
- Handle returns, replacement requests, and supplier follow-ups
Cross-Department Coordination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen teams, purchasing departments, and suppliers
- Support restaurant operations by ensuring timely availability of stock
- Assist with resolving delivery or supply issues quickly and professionally
Who Are You?
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, stock control, or restaurant support roles is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail with an organized and methodical working style
- Comfortable with physical tasks and safe handling of goods
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems or willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Flexible and available for early-morning deliveries when required
