Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Stock Keeper to manage inventory control, stock handling, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking goods while maintaining accurate records and ensuring warehouse efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Record all stock movements accurately in inventory systems or manual logs
- Organize and store items in designated warehouse locations
- Issue materials as per requisitions and ensure correct quantities are dispatched
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly and annual inventory audits
- Identify stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report to management
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO stock rotation where applicable
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are met
- Label, tag, and barcode items for easy identification and tracking
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams
- Handle loading and unloading of goods using proper equipment
- Ensure proper storage conditions for fragile, perishable, or high-value items
- Comply with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- High School Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Stock Keeper / Storekeeper / Inventory Controller
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with inventory systems
- Familiarity with MS Excel and warehouse documentation
- Good numerical and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Physically fit to handle stock movement when required
- Knowledge of FIFO, stock rotation, and warehouse safety practices
