Key Responsibilities
Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and consistently delivers high-quality dishes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Supervising, mentoring, and leading the kitchen staff to maintain high performance
- Ensuring all dishes meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Maintaining strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols in the kitchen
- Controlling food costs, managing inventory, and minimizing waste
- Collaborating with the Head Chef on menu planning, development, and research & development (R&D)
- Monitoring kitchen equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure smooth operations
- Supporting smooth service during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Cook
As a Cook, you will work under the guidance of the Sous Chef and Head Chef to prepare and serve high-quality dishes. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your work station
- Ensuring proper portion control and presentation for all menu items
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Following hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations at all times
- Assisting in inventory management and stock replenishment
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in reputable restaurants or hotels
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities
- Thorough understanding of food cost control, stock management, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and positive attitude
- Passion for culinary creativity, innovation, and delivering outstanding dining experiences
Freshers looking to grow under mentorship may apply for cook positions if they have relevant training or practical experience.
