What You Will Do (The Real Day-to-Day Duties)
These responsibilities are the rhythms of your shift.
1. Precision Espresso Preparation (Peak Office Hours)
- Dial in the grinder every two hours, adjust grind size, dose weight, and yield to achieve the extraction yield for our coffees.
- Pull consistent espresso shots with crema that is hazelnut-brown, thick, and with a persistent color.
- Steam milk with microfoam so velvety it reflects light. No screeching, no giant bubbles.
2. Latte Arts & Beverage Creative Crafting
- At least three core latte art patterns: heart, rosetta, and tulip.The more you can show the more chances.
- Prepare signature drinks such like our signatures of Honey Cardamom Latte, Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, Classic Cappuccino, and seasonal Origin Mochas According to our seasonal menu beverages.
- Using Hario V60 or Chemex Colombian and Ethiopean with a water-to-coffee ratio.
- We highly value candidates who possess a genuine passion for coffee, strong latte art skills, and solid knowledge of coffee preparation, including specialty coffee standards and techniques.
3. Guest Experience & Education (Element of Human)
- Greet every guest within 10 seconds of entering the queue. Learn regular customers’ names and their “usual beverages” within two weeks.
- Offer tasting notes by explaining the recommendations to the customer.
- Handle modifications with patience. We accommodate allergies and preferences very seriously.
- De-escalate the occasional difficult customer with the “LEAP” method.
4. Cleanliness & Safety
- Follow all Safe protocols: washing hands every time, changing sanitizer water every 2 hours, date-label all dairy products and alternatives and syrups, and other ingredients.
- Perform closing shift deep-cleaning: backflush espresso machines, scrub drip trays, descale the hot water tower, wipe all surfaces with food-grade sanitizer and wipe everything before leave.
- Report any equipment issues, such as grinders and espresso machines, immediately via our maintenance Slack channel.
- Keep the workstation always tidy and clean. Follow the safety guidelines.
5. Inventory & Cash Handling
- Restock cups, lids, syrups, and milk from the back-of-house cooler. Rotate stock (follow FIFO—First In, First Out).
- Close the POS system accurately. If mid shift, count the cash drawer with a second team member.
- Basic knowledge of POS Systems required.
Who You Are
You do not need a hospitality degree, but you must meet our criteria:
- Minimum 1 year of high-volume barista experience (We will test your skills right after the interview trial.)
- Knowledge of specialty coffee fundamentals: Origin countries, roast levels, grinding particle size, extraction time, and total dissolved solids theory.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 40 lbs , such as coffee bags, milk crates, kegs of cold brew, fruit boxes, water bottles, and other items.
- English fluency (B2 or higher). Arabic is a plus but not required.
- SCA Barista Certification, if available.
Schedule & Availability
- Full-time: 48 hours/week.
- Location:Candidate must be flexible to attend to the branches hen company meets requirements.
- Our cafes are Not a quiet, slow café: We serve 200–300 drinks per day on weekends. You will move fast, during working shifts, have a break time to boost your energy with our free meal.
