Role Overview:

The Junior Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Mediterranean or fine-dining cuisine who is looking to take their culinary career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and meal preparation
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to Sirene by GAIA’s standards
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in all areas of the kitchen
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth teamwork
  • Contribute to menu development, recipe creation, and seasonal specials
  • Manage inventory, ingredients, and ensure minimal wastage
  • Uphold quality control in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
  • Adapt to high-pressure situations and fast-paced service without compromising quality

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in fine-dining or Mediterranean kitchens
  • Strong culinary skills with attention to detail, taste, and presentation
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and inspire junior kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Creative mindset and willingness to contribute ideas
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Culinary diploma or relevant professional qualification is preferred

  • Salary: AED 4,500 – 8,000 per month (based on experience)
