Job Description
L’ETO, the internationally recognised all-day dining café and restaurant group known for its Parisian-chic interiors and Instagram-famous breakfasts, is hiring an experienced Waiter/Waitress for its Dubai location. Born in the bustling streets of Soho, London, L’ETO has grown into one of the most visited restaurant brands across the Gulf, with venues spanning the UAE and beyond. If you thrive in a fast-paced, design-led hospitality environment and take pride in delivering flawless guest service, this role offers a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career with a premium international brand.
This vacancy is open to candidates already living in the UAE as well as overseas applicants willing to relocate. L’ETO is actively scaling its Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations, which means new joiners have real visibility into promotion tracks rather than joining a static team. The restaurant group places heavy emphasis on presentation, guest experience, and consistency, so this posting is best suited to service professionals who already understand what a premium, high-footfall F&B environment demands.
About L’ETO
L’ETO is a European-style all-day dining destination celebrated for its extensive menu of freshly baked pastries, artisan cakes, healthy salads, and hearty breakfast and dinner offerings. With its striking white marbled interiors, chandeliers, and cane-and-upholstery seating, every L’ETO venue is designed to feel like a small escape to Paris in the middle of Dubai. The brand has built a loyal following among residents and tourists alike, and continues to expand its footprint across the region, including additional catering and bakery services alongside its dine-in experience.
Since launching in London’s Soho, L’ETO has expanded steadily across the Gulf, with venues now operating in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including sites such as City Walk, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and The Galleria on Al Maryah Island. The brand is frequently cited as one of the most photographed and reviewed dining destinations in the region, driven by its distinctive interiors, seasonal menu updates, and strong social media presence. Joining L’ETO means working under a brand that invests heavily in staff training, service consistency, and guest experience across its growing portfolio.
A Day in the Life
A typical shift starts with a briefing on the day’s specials, allergen updates, and any VIP or large-group reservations. Mornings are usually the busiest period, with a steady flow of breakfast guests, followed by a calmer mid-morning stretch used for resetting tables and restocking service stations. Evenings pick up again with dinner covers, where coordination with the kitchen and bar becomes critical to keeping ticket times consistent. Throughout the shift, waiters are expected to read the room — knowing when to check in on a table, when to let guests linger, and when to move quickly to turn a table during peak hours — all while keeping the warm, attentive tone that L’ETO guests expect.
Role Overview
As a Waiter/Waitress at L’ETO Dubai, you will be the face of the guest experience — welcoming visitors, guiding them through the menu, and ensuring every table receives attentive, warm, and efficient service from arrival to departure. This is a hands-on floor role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, works well under pressure during peak breakfast and dinner rushes, and takes pride in representing a premium, design-conscious brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and explaining daily specials, dietary options, and signature dishes.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, relaying special requests clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Serve food and drinks with correct sequencing, presentation standards, and attentiveness to table needs throughout the visit.
- Anticipate guest needs — refilling water, clearing used plates promptly, and checking in without over-interrupting the dining experience.
- Handle guest questions, requests, and minor complaints professionally, escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
- Process bills accurately and handle cash, card, and digital payments in line with company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and setup standards of assigned sections, including table settings, cutlery, and service stations.
- Work closely with kitchen, bar, and hosting teams to ensure smooth, coordinated service during busy periods.
- Stay knowledgeable about menu ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods to answer guest questions confidently.
- Uphold L’ETO’s grooming, uniform, and brand service standards at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a café, restaurant, or hotel F&B outlet, ideally in a premium or branded environment.
- Strong spoken English; additional languages (Arabic, Russian, French) are an advantage given L’ETO’s international guest base.
- Excellent grooming, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and move for extended shifts, including during high-volume breakfast and dinner service.
- Basic food hygiene awareness; a food safety certificate is a plus but not mandatory.
- Team-oriented attitude with the flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by the hospitality schedule.
- A valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to be sponsored is required; candidates already based in the UAE are preferred for faster onboarding.
What L’ETO Offers
- Competitive monthly salary plus service charge/tips share, commensurate with experience.
- Employment visa, medical insurance, and annual leave in line with UAE Labour Law.
- Staff meals during shifts and staff discount on L’ETO dining.
- Training and development within an internationally recognised hospitality brand with multiple UAE locations.
- Genuine growth path toward senior waiter, host, or supervisory roles as the brand continues to expand across the Gulf.
How to Apply
Interested candidates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply with an updated CV highlighting relevant F&B service experience. Shortlisted candidates already based in the UAE and available for immediate interview will be given priority. Please ensure your CV includes current visa status, notice period (if applicable), and expected salary.
This is a great opportunity for hospitality professionals looking to join a growing, design-forward international brand with a strong presence across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Tips to Strengthen Your Application
- List specific previous employers and outlet types (café, fine dining, hotel F&B) rather than generic “waiter” experience — recruiters shortlist faster when they can see relevant, comparable environments.
- Mention any POS systems you’ve used (Micros, Foodics, Oracle Simphony, etc.) since familiarity with restaurant technology speeds up onboarding.
- Include your current visa status clearly at the top of your CV — UAE employers move fastest on candidates whose visa situation is unambiguous.
- If you have any certifications in food safety, hygiene, or barista skills, list them even if they weren’t required — they signal versatility for a multi-outlet brand like L’ETO.
