Job position details:
Working as a pastry chef at Katrina Bakery Ltd, you will carry out kitchen operations. That’s the heart of the operation. Creating, preparing, and presenting a wide range of bakery and pastry products with high-quality company standards will be your responsibilities. Major Kitchen Responsibilities
- Prepare bakery production according to the Katrina Bakery menu items, including cheesecakes and other cakes, cookies, loaf breads, all types of croissants, tarts, and other bakery products, by following the recipes and ensuring they meet Katrina Bakery’s quality and standards.
- Create viral pastry and bakery products and seasonal concepts, developed by assistants under the head chef and executive chefs, with management approval.
- Maintain the product quality process thoroughly, ensuring bakery products come out of the oven and leave the bakery shop meeting brand standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
- Measure ingredients for portions accurately and prepare doughs, batters, sauces, creams, and mixtures,e balancing ingredient measurements and taste.
- Make sure all the preparations are completed, including the pastry section mise en place, ahead of service to run the kitchen operation smoothly.
- Sound knowledge of bakery equipment, handling dough sheeters, ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment operated safely.
- Managing stock levels for pastry section ingredients, flagging shortfalls to purchasing members, and minimizing wastage in day-to-day operations.
- Assist the kitchen team whenever
- P is required, especially during peak hours, and mentor them to run a positive collaborative operation.
- Strictly follow the kitchen procedures for monitoring checklists, temperatures, baking times, and product appearance, and ensure compliance with Katrina Bakery standards.
- Stay updated with viral pastry and bakery trends, techniques, and creative innovations for management consideration for product development.

Qualifications
- 2-3 years of minimum professional pastry or bakery chef job role experience in a hotel, restaurant, ant or café environment with sound culinary arts experience in the GCC.
- Extensive working experience in Viennoiserie production, confectionery, chocolate artwork, and patisserie.
- Hands-on experience in a high-volume bulk bakery production atmosphere is an additional advantage.
- Strong technical skills in crafting, innovation, and creative pastry.
- Food safety certificate with a good understanding of HACCP regulations and food hygiene, plus food safety principles.
- Take responsibility to work individually whenever required during busy hours.
- Good command of English writing and reading, plus additional languages, are a plus but not mandatory.
- Perfect time management skills to accomplish the daily challenging tasks simultaneously during peak hours.
- Hunger and the passion for bakery products, technology, techniques, and viral trend experiments.
- Professionally positive, work-oriented attitude with a strong focus under high-volume pressure, and able to handle it.
- Maintain consistent quality, taste, flavor, and presentation without degradation, in accordance with Katrina Bakery standards.
