A good coffee can turn around someone’s whole morning, and a barista who remembers a regular’s order can make it a great one. 25hours Hotel Dubai is looking for a Barista to join its team, and if you love the rhythm of the espresso machine and enjoy chatting with guests, this could be a really nice next step in your career.
About 25hours Hotel Dubai
25hours Hotel Dubai One Central is not your typical business hotel. It’s known for a playful, colourful style and a relaxed, creative feel, with a lively mix of places to eat, drink and hang out. Hotel guests, visitors and locals all pass through, which means a barista here meets a very varied crowd every single day.
That variety is part of the fun. One minute you’re making a quick flat white for someone rushing to a meeting, the next you’re recommending an iced drink to a family on holiday. You get to be part of the hotel’s personality, not just a person behind a counter.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing espresso-based drinks, teas and cold beverages to a consistent standard
- Steaming milk properly and, if you can, pouring neat latte art
- Greeting guests warmly and recommending drinks they might enjoy
- Taking payments and handling orders accurately at the counter
- Keeping the machine, grinder and counter spotless throughout the shift
- Checking milk, beans, syrups and cups, and telling your supervisor when stock runs low
- Following hygiene rules and the hotel’s service standards
- Helping with set-up, light food service or closing duties when the team needs you
What the Hotel Is Looking For
- Previous barista experience in a café, hotel or restaurant, usually a year or more
- Confidence using an espresso machine and grinder
- Latte art is a plus, but not always a must
- Good spoken English, with Arabic or other languages as a bonus
- A friendly, presentable and reliable personality
- Flexibility with shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Good food hygiene knowledge, and a valid food handler certificate is helpful
No latte art yet? Don’t panic. If your coffee basics are strong and your attitude is right, a team can teach the rest. What can’t be taught is being warm, dependable and calm when the queue gets long.
What a Shift Can Feel Like
Expect a busy start when guests come down for breakfast and people grab a coffee on their way out, a steadier stretch through the middle of the day, and often a smaller rush in the afternoon. In between, you’re wiping down, restocking and keeping the counter looking good. It’s fast, but it’s rarely boring, and the hours tend to fly when the team gets along.
Hotel teams are usually big and friendly, with colleagues from many countries and departments. You’ll learn something new from almost everyone, whether it’s a better way to organise your station, a phrase in another language or a trick for handling a tricky moment with a smile.
If you like steady routines but also enjoy a bit of energy and surprise, this is a role that gives you both.
Why a Hotel Barista Job Is Worth Considering
Working in a hotel gives you something a standalone café sometimes can’t: structure, training and a bigger network of colleagues across departments. In Dubai, hotels are a well-known route into senior barista, supervisor and wider food and beverage roles for people who keep learning. Salary, meals, uniform, transport and accommodation are confirmed directly by the employer, so ask about them calmly during the interview.
Tips to Help You Stand Out
- Practise your milk texturing before the interview. A smooth, glossy flat white says more than a long speech.
- Be ready for a practical test, usually a cappuccino, a flat white and maybe an iced drink.
- Share a short story about your busiest shift and how you stayed calm. Hotels love that.
- Keep your CV to one page, with your coffee experience and any certificates at the top.
