About the Hotel

Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is one of Qatar’s best-known destinations, with a landmark waterfront setting, generous resort-style facilities, and a lively mix of leisure and business guests. Our restaurants, lounges, and event spaces are at the heart of Doha’s hospitality scene. We are looking for a passionate, skilled Barista to join our Food & Beverage team and make every cup an experience.

Position Overview

As a Barista, you will prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to hotel guests, restaurant visitors, and event attendees. You will be the face of our coffee offering, combining technical skill with warm hospitality. We are looking for someone who treats coffee as a craft, takes pride in consistency, and enjoys connecting with people.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, teas, iced beverages, and other specialty drinks to brand standards
• Grind, dose, tamp, and extract with precision, adjusting settings to maintain consistent flavour
• Steam and texture milk, including alternative milks, and create attractive latte art
• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and recommend drinks to suit their tastes
• Handle payments and room charges correctly using the hotel’s point-of-sale system
• Keep the coffee station, machines, grinders, and equipment spotless and in good working order
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage
• Set up and break down the coffee bar, including for banquets, conferences, and coffee breaks
• Answer guest questions about beverages, ingredients, and allergens with confidence
• Handle guest feedback and complaints politely, escalating to a supervisor when needed
• Support colleagues in the wider Food & Beverage team during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista in a hotel, café, or quality coffee shop
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk texturing, and coffee types
• Latte art skills and barista certification are an advantage
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
• Good spoken English; Arabic or additional languages are a plus
• A friendly, confident personality with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Smart, well-groomed appearance and a strong sense of teamwork
• Eligibility to work in Qatar, or willingness to be sponsored where applicable
