As a responsible pknk barista, you will be the face of the brand of our products on your station.
- Prepare according to the pknk menu: Coffees, Cold brews, Milkshakes, kombuchas, speciality teas and coffees, and manage drive-through orders, and keep the quality consistent from your first order to your last order.
- Setting up the equipment once you arrive at the station, calibrate the espresso machine, and clean the station before you start your schedule.
- Checking the remain stock levels and request which require beverages from the store.
- Get the order accurately and Handle customer orders in a friendly and attentive manner,
- Rapidly manage incoming drive thru orders plus walk in customers especially peak hours.
- Mob the area regularly, keep surfaces and tables clean and neat. The cafe opens until 11.30 pm, so make sure the tidiness is kept consistently.
- Start from the ingredients, learn all the menu items and beverages, seasonal drinks, and menu add-ons. You must be confident when the guest asks about the products.

What is PKNK looking for

- Knowing more of the latter arts than the former is an additional point.
- Competence of espresso machines and equipment like coffee grinder calibration, tamping machines, and extraction time. Once you join Pknk, there’s no time to teach from scratch.
- Preparing a beverage experience of juices, protein shakes, kombuchas, milkshakes, and speciality teas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers plus work with mixed culture team.
- Physically fit to stand for long hours on a shift. (8-hour duty time).
- Looking for a positive team player who can work toward one goal as a team. Our cafe is a team of mixed nationalities, and a strong team spirit is highly valued.
- Outgoing personality that faces challenges at a high-volume, busy cafe, able to control the pressure from walk-in customers and drive-thru.
- Point of sale machine knowledge, handling cash, cards, and payment processing.
Additional Advantage
- Arabic/french or Russian language. Pknk Cafe is a vital portion of Arabic customers, knowing one of these languages is an additional skill.

The Job Frame
Pknk is a hectic cafe that runs all week, while getting busier on Thursday evening until Sunday evening. The students of Sharjah University, couples, office mates, families, and regular park-up customers at drive-thru are our daily customers. Simply, the cafe is busy at all, and the barista station is the center of it all.
There will be working shifts that you will get orders, prepare drinks, process payments handlings back to back for 30- 40 min continually. Evenings will be queuing of drive thru and counter queuing at the same time; you have to keep the operation smooth without downgrading the quality of beverages.
