Right now, they are looking for a sales assistant to join their team, someone who has passion and genuine love for Funko pop culture, a fan of animation, Marvel, and Disney. What You’ll Be Doing

To be specific, these are the core responsibilities at funko showroom

• The first impression of a destination by fans matters most, and welcomes the customer with genuine enthusiasm.
• Basic knowledge of animation, Marvel, DC, and other fictional characters, and that’s why we’ ‘re seeking a person who is really passionate and loves collecting figures.
• Help customers to find exactly what they are looking for, which could be a specific character, a bag for a Disney character, or a booster pack of Yu-Gi-Oh! or a gift. You must understand the customer to sell the right product for their satisfaction.
• Stay alert on upcoming anime, movie characters, and which ow the product range inside out that which funko pops are remain in the stocks and what chases characters and exclusives are available, and which franchise trending or limited editions that are hard to find across the country. Most customers come to visit the store to get what they want that cannot be bought online. Being aware of the stock levels is vital.
• Sell the product without forcing to the customer, but with a natural recommendation, explain the character edition, or chase items who came in for one pop but leaves with 3 pops.
• Knowledge of the transaction process by using the POS system. Handle cash and card payments and the exchange or return process faster and more accurately.
• Support store promotions, exhibition events, and fan gatherings. Every year, monkey distribution participate for the Funko festival and Comic Con, and the retail team is part of making those moments.
• Generate stock count reports, reqeuest funko pos quantity with specific characters from the warehouse team. Coordinate with them for a smooth delivery operation.
• Assist the driver during the morning time before the mall opens to get the items into the store.
• Handle customer exchanges, damage returned, or complaints politely and a professional manner.
• Be aware of the upcoming Funko Pop products, send the pre-order requests to the warehouse team, and special customer order requests, and follow through.

• At least one year of retail store or showroom sales experience, must understand how the store runs, transactions, and dealing with frustrated customers without losing your Perseverance.
• Deep knowledge of Franchise line products, Funko Pops, chase pop characters, and exclusive pops. Knowledge not mandatory, but if you got it, its a plus point.
• A cheerful personality enjoying encounters with pop fans, someone who finds energy in customer reactions.
• Ability to stand for long hours in the store, manage the store floor throughout the day.
• Confident, clear, and friendly. Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, management, & Microsoft Excel to create reports on damaged items, discrepancies, and warehouse stock transfers.
• Work schedule flexibility, this job does not easily get off on weekends, which are the most selling target-reaching days.
• Experience in POS systems, stock receiving, and handling barcode scanners whenever needed to use.
• Merchandise the new stocks according to the character sections. Constantly keep every shelf tidy and organised.
• ability to recommend items, upsell, and make the monthly sales target achievable.

Extra Advantage

• Speaking the Arabic language is a highly acceptable qualification. The UAE has a huge Arabic fan base, so to explain, engage with them for more sales. Knowing the Arabic language is a plus mark.
• Previous experience in a pop culture or collectible retail environment is highly recommended.
• Knowledge of trading cards, Pokémon TCG. Pokemon trading cards are significantly growing in the UAE MENA region, a person knowing that better.
• Social media trending viral characters awareness, what’s trending in TikTok, Instagram, and simply, if you’re a Funko collector already, it’s a great advantage.

Working at Funko retail stores genuinely enjoyable retail job, never get bored. you surrounds with most viral, favourite characters. Those customers who come to the shop aren’t just customers. They are a pop fan just like you that something interests. They already know what they want, but when you say that the new collection has already arrived and customers are showing the picture of Funko characters, and you will help them to find the exact or matching figures, this kind of scenario belongs to a day at work.

this retails stores are located in every shopping mall that every weekend gets super busy, and you might face to challenges that standing for long hours and barely having break barely. You will face numerous customer types, of those who inly brows nearly 30 min with a lot of questions but leave without buying anything, some will be ask alot of questions and, with recommendations, they will buy. Knowing about what you sell matters a lot. It’s all about being aware of this. There will be busy days when you have to check the new stock arrivals one by one, and it could take half of the day.

Imagine kids arrive to buy something, but you recommend or suggest glow-in-the-dark or chase Funko Pops. Unexpectedly, they find something more interesting than they came to look for. By your recommendation, they buy and leave with satisfaction. That’s the kind of selling skills required.
