Job Description
Your schedule could be adjusted depending on which place you have to work at. You have to be fully responsible for detecting fires and malfunctions, repairing emergency alarm systems, and being ready to show up at any time.
At LEAMS Education, as a fire alarm technician, your role will include coordinating day-to-day operations, troubleshooting alarms, and conducting inspections of fire safety systems across our educational centers. You will work under maintenance supervisors and site-in-charge staff. Primarily, you will work individually on most assigned daily tasks. You will have a specific daily job list to complete: fix issues, mend, visit, and inspect alarm faults, and assist your maintenance team. If you’re adaptable, a quick learner, attentive to detail, and work in a structured manner, this job role will suit you.
Functions and Core Duties
- Check the system settings to ensure the fire alarm systems are functioning properly, and fix broken alarms or failed system settings.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency faults related to alarm systems to keep the environment safe.
- Fire alarms, panels, warning systems, fire and smoke detectors, and heat detectors installation and inspections.
- Find the faults in the fire alarms and repair them efficiently.
- Detect and identify errors in fire alarm systems, wiring issues, damage, and detector issues, and provide rapid solutions by fixing them.
- Emergency lighting systems and smoke detectors are constantly checked.
- Ensure a safe installation by checking cable connections, heat detectors, plugs, smoke detectors, cable wires, and electrical circuit boards.
- Coordinate with assistants and helpers, visit the site where the service is required, and immediately fix the solution.
- Report damages, electrical issues, re-installations, and system failures, and document and report to the supervisor.
- Maintains records of service logs, log books, store requests, and inspection reports under your department
- Be ready for emergency service calls, alert, fire alarm system malfunctions, and resolve the issue completely.
- Engaging with 3rd party suppliers, equipment contractors, and UAE civil defense inspection teams whenever required.
Essential Requirements
Leams Education Service is looking for a solid, grounded person with Experience who takes responsibility independently.
- Candidate must have 2 to 5 years of hands-on Experience in the maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems in the United Arab Emirates.GCC experience and Working knowledge of UAE civil defense inspection standard levels are strongly preferred
- Well-understood and knowledge of the working procedure of fire alarm systems, heat detectors, smoke detectors, sensors, circuits, and call units.
- Working knowledge of suppression systems and emergency lighting. Honeywell’s brand awareness seems to be an additional point.
- A valid UAE driving license is a great advantage. Sometimes you have to travel across Dubai to the schools.
- A higher diploma or degree in electrical engineering is preferred, along with fire safety certification.
- Strongly following international fire safety standards, including NFPA and BS5839.
- Ability to identify the core issues, system failures, and fix them without delay with minimum supervision.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for communication, report checks, and writing.
Salary Package
Monthly Salary is 3500 AED per month, including housing and transportation allowance
