Job Duties

Full property painting: this will be one of your major responsibilities to carry out, the hotel’s property, both interior and exterior. It may include the restaurants, washrooms, lobby area, staff rooms, guest rooms, corridors, hallways, service areas, etc. You will be part of finishing the painting properly, varnishing by using painting equipment. Every work you get done has to meet the expectations of the Accor hotel standard.

Floor Preparation: You will be the responsibilities to keep the hotel floor surfaces renovated,d sanding, scraping, filling pot holes, a nd applying coats and paints. When the maintenace chekings got the report of the places, ensure it gets done in a professional standard way. repair previous paint failures without any unfinished or shortcuts.

Room Support: Once got the reporting or complaints, inspect the areas of damage, cracked walls, stains, and scratches, and fix them as soon as possible without affecting the guest’s comfort.

Minor repairs: smooth cracks, small holes, re-fix with skim coats. carry out the work wherever needed in patch filling and plastering. Make sure that before painting thos fixesa re smoothe. Knowing how to inspect a wall and fix it is a more skilled level than that of an average painter. Wall reading matters.

Reduce Maintenance: conduct regular inspections of water leaking stains, peeling off of the wall paint, mould spots,f and find out those issues before they make a huge impact. minimize the maintenance rounds to save the cost effectiveness, and a skilled painter takes responsibility for early recognition of wall issues.

Work Orders: You will be working under the Accor Hotels maintenance systems by incoming job orders to complete, updating about the work status, and materials used will be one of your responsibilities in this role. Your maintenance person in charge has to know what job has been done and how it was finished according to the hotel’s standard.

Safety and Chemical: Follow the safety protocols whenever you’re using paints, thinners, primers, coatings, etc., and other chemicals. Always use the safety equipment before the job starts at all. Use equipment such as scaffolds and elevated platforms whenever required, especially when working at high places.

Hotel property: The engineers and maintenance manager will assist you with the job that needs to be done. The maintenance operation will keep running. You may have to work during unusual times, perhaps overtime or short notice during the working schedules. Maintain professionalism, especially in guest areas.

Communication: coordinate with other maintenance staff, like electricians, plumbers, and carpenters. Keep good communication with them and be open to working with them to finish the task as soon as possible as a team.

Application Profile

• High school, secondary, or relevant field professional technical vocational certificate in building maintenance, painting and decorating, or relevant to painting.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on prior experience in painting at a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
• Basic understanding of painting standards, techniques, plus knowledge of the paint types and categories.
• knowledge of the safety protocols in the construction work.
• Well, a sound knowledge of textures and decorative finishing.
• Able to stand long hours, climb ladders, work at higher places, and lift items.
• Time management skills to finish the assignment work before the deadline
• Basic speaking knowledge of English for communications.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.

What accords offer

Between 2500 – 3500 AED salary per monthly beased on the experience and qualifications, according to the Accor Hotel, overtime will be added as extra compensation.

Staff accommodation and transportation to the workplace will be provided by the company.
