As a Talabat picker, what will you do?
As a Talabat picker, your essential job role is to complete the grocery order correctly, which is ordered through the Talabat digital platform. Once the customer orders through the Talabat app, the warehouse team will confirm the stock availability, a nd then next! That’s your part that will start. Your responsibility is to take that order. Pick from the warehouse bins or shelves which arearecated in the picking area, pick them accurately, and send them to the packing section promptly.
Accuracy and speed matter; that’s what Talabat’s speciality is. So you have to stay focused all the time, from the time you get the picking sheet until you hand it to the packing section after double-checking. Order inaccuracy will create a bad effect on the customer, and it will add extra work to the team, which will affect the brand name. Except for order picking, you will be handling stock receiving once the delivery comes, stacking goods into the shelves and bins, and assisting the warehouse team with other require task will be your daily operational tasks and responsibilities. Your job role is vital as the delivery rider throughout the entire delivery chain.
Core Responsibilities:
As a picker in the Taalabat warehouse and store, your day-to-day tasks will be:
- Picking the orders and completing: Once the warehouse receives the order list, the team leader or dispatcher will hand over the picking sheet to you. Pick according to the quantity of the customer order accurately by using a barcode scanner. Pay attention and focus on every item’s accuracy and quantity,y plus dates of expiry. Every item that you pick must be in good condition and fresh, without any damage.
- Stock Receiving: When the warehouse receives the goods, coordinate with the warehouse team to inspect the items, checking the quantity according to the delivery note, separating damaged items, and assisting in offloading the stock. Stack it according to the FIFO method, and take extra care of fragile items such as glass bottles, jars, egg racks, and frozen items.
- Packing and separating: once the picking is done, bring those items carefully to the packing area where the orders are being prepared for dispatch. Assist with packing orders with exact delivery numbers without delay.
- Keep your assigned location area clean, sweep, clean the shelves and bins, ns and remove waste.
- Team spirit: you will work with multicultural team members in the warehouse, a friendly attitude, proper communication for a smooth operation,n as a team work hight valubale.Inform your supervisor of theres any conflict situation, especially during rush hours.
- Monthly target: every month you have have a achivable picking and packing target during the monthly fulfilment operation assigned by the supervisor. The company will provide the training before starting the job.
- Shelf and bin location control: You will do the recycling checks, ensure the products are at the right locations at the right temperature. Follow the first-in-first-out method by bringing forward the old stock and stacking the new items behind in the shelf. Inform the warehouse team leader or supervisor of the running low stock levels.

Skills and Qualifications:
- High school educational background or a relevant supply chain or logistics certificate.
- Minimum one year of experience in warehouse operations or store operations.
- Basic understanding of reading, speaking, and writing in English. Urdu and Hindi are a plus.
- Willing to carry heavy objects standing long periods.
- Aware RF guns, warehouse management, and Oracle systems.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and spreadsheets.
- willing to work on rotation at shifts.
- Team spirit and friendly attitude.
Talabat offer package
Monthly basic salary starting from 1800AED per month, depending on experience and the location assigned. Additionally, overtime, performance intensives, and reaching monthly targets will be added.
